You sit south. Your partner sits across. Bid on four cards, then play out the eight.
Card order, high to low: J, 9, A, 10, K, Q, 8, 7. Points: J 3, 9 2, A 1, 10 1. Twenty-eight in the deck.
Bidding runs from 16 to 28. Whoever bids highest picks trump in secret. It stays hidden until someone cannot follow suit; after that, trump beats everything.
Make your bid in card points and your side gains a game point. Miss it and you lose one. First to 6 takes the match. Pairs and doubles are left out to keep it quick.
